of chemical substances in English and in Japanese. The data files
are provided "as is" with no guarantees of any kind. NOTE: Use wildcard (*) to search for English words when you don't know all the letters in them. For more information, see [TIPS]. >>> Substances with Greek letter(s) in their names Greek letters are spelled out in English and are represented as double-byte letters in Japanese. Acid values Acid values are represented by a combination of single byte characters X, V, and I. No Arabic numbers are used. Stereochemical symbols, substitution positions, and more... Upper and lower cases for indications (e.g., N-, n-, DL-, S-, s-, etc) are separately used whenever possible, but it may not be perfect. No Italic print is used for the symbols which are often typed in Italics. Please check the proper indication when using the data contained herein. Nomenclatures Names of chemical substances in this database are pursuant to both IUPAC and CAS regulations. Choose the appropriate one depending on your use.
